Johnny Rocket

Life is produced even at the least expected places. Nurture it and it will slowly bloom and blossom.

Yesterday I finally had my chance to try out Johnny Rocket @ curve after passing by it for so many times. Let me start by saying if you're here to find a cheap meal, well you are definitely better off eating at McDonald's. Anyway, the ambiance was set to look like an american burger dining. They really did succeed in that aspect. If it weren't for the fact that I was sitting next to my friends, I wouldn't have believe I was in Malaysia.

Chicken Tenders. This was cooked really well. Normal fried chicken tenders.

Their root beer float tasted similar to A&W but they were extremely generous with their vanilla ice-cream.

Fries with beef bacon and cheese. I was somewhat disappointed with this starter. I had imagine fries covered fully with cheese and tinnier beef bacon.

1986 Burger - They gave a choice of chicken or beef and I choose chicken. The chicken patty was indeed delicious, they were generous with their sauce and pickles. All burgers come with fries and salad but you may substitute the fries to onion rings or sweet potato fries for RM2.65

No the mention their lovely crew performing a small dance around every hour. It was rather entertaining,

All in all, the price is the only factor that is driving me away. I do enjoy the meal immensely and the atmosphere of the dining.

This movie was quite unrealistic to me. Though I have to applaud Leonard DiCaprio so much for his amazing acting. He has never done drugs before but yet he manages to act professionally in the movie. The movie is nice for a good laugh though.

A&W!!!

Do any of you remember the popular A&W drive through at PJ state?? I sure did as I had abounding amount of memories whereby i celebrated my birthday there when I was a child. I remembered they had an A&W bear that would come and the kids would torture the mascot! Man, I do hope the man behind the costume gets extra pay! It is one of those memories that lingers vividly in your mind for a livelong time.

So anyway, my colleagues and I went to relieved this memory and had yummy curly fries, waffle and their AMAZEBALLS rootber float.

The must have combo!

It was truly a blithe night with jubilant and euphoria laughter.

Thanks <3

SHC Family Day and Toastmasters

Over the weekend, I spent it in a rather different style. I together with my colleagues went to Colmar, Bukit Tinggi. The overall journey roughly took an hour drive from PJ.

We saw rabbits and deer at the animal park before heading up to the resort.

I was actually slightly flabbergasted when I reached the place because I remembered vaguely that I had came to this place before roughly 10 years ago. The outmoded buildings were exactly the same as how I remembered it. Although the weather was not as cooling and breezy as how I knew.

Buildings of unique designs

Colleague messing around with the decors

We saw Minnie mouse!

Of course, trip is never completed without beer!

Some of the DUI team during the dinner.

I managed to take a photo with sleeping beauty and Bell at dinner. Haha, aren't they just so adorable?

Last Thursday I went to D'Utama Toastmasters Club (TMC) as one of their speakers. I was doing my CC #6 and successfully completed it. My objective for this CC was to add pitch and volume so I thought what better way to do it then through conversations?

My title was "A Day at the Beach". I started by asking who loves heading to the beach for their holidays. I then went on by saying that Uncle one day decided to take us to the beach.

Body was mostly the journey to the beach and how the kids were happily playing and building sandcastles without me. The reveal was quite a hilarious part because I had blithe moment of watching jaws dropped and eyes wide open.

Hehe, check out the video on how I did that.

Soleil

Mom bought me dinner today as a Birthday treat. We went to Soleil, Seksyen 17 for western food as it was one of the nearer and better restaurants. We had one starter, one main and dessert, since you know, sharing is caring. Nearly everything shared is always better.

Overall food was delicious, service was impeccable and ambiance was cozy. Definitely a lovely for small groups of less than 5 people.

Starters: Crab meat with avocado and mint. I'm very sure there was more but I have trouble remembering western terms. This dish was well done. The presentation was cute, simple and clean. The crab meat empowered the avocado slightly but I didn't mind as the main focus was the crab meat.

Mains: Waygu beef (Medium Rare). The meat was just slightly tender than what we hoped for. But the red wine sauce was splendid and the vegetables accompanied the dish well. They added enoki mushrooms which to me was quite unusual.

Dessert: Pandan Creep with banana accompanied with coconut ice-cream and caramel. This dish was perfectly done. I hate it when desserts are overly sweet -As if I'm not sweet enough *flips hair*. You can taste the pandan on the creep and it goes superbly well with the grilled banana. Mix it together with the caramel sauce and coconut ice-cream you get a sweet yet refreshing burst of flavor in your mouth. A definitely must have when you eat here!

Thank You Mom!

Fuego Sky Dining

Phew, I finally just found enough time to update my blog. Life's been pretty hectic since I got home from my one week trip. Nevertheless, I'm not complaining of work as it keeps me going and motivated.

As I sit comfortably on my chair, I can finally write a review on Fuego Sky Dining. This place was simply amazing. The view was breath taking and left me spellbound. The food add up to the beautiful scenery.

Fuego Sky Dining is a Tapas restaurant so the dishes you ordered must be shared.

Foie gras with mash potatoes. This dish was delicious, it came me wanting more after I've devoured half of the dish with kelvin. I had to make puppy eyes for him to give me half of his. It was just amazing. The foie gras was cooked perfectly and blends really well with their sauce.

Potato Hash. I was a bit disappointed with this dish. I expected something more unique than this. Even so, the potato was cooked to crisp. Kelvin and I thought the veggie was extraneous.

This is a wagyu dish. We ordered it in Medium Rare and they cooked perfectly. Mind you, I always have second thoughts on eating western food in Malaysia because the meat is never cooked properly. But this dish was mind blowing. The meat was tender and cooked to perfection. I thought the sauce was redundant as it was salty and the meat itself was enough to satisfy me.

Naughty boy ordered glenfiddich. It was really unique that they placed the bottle in a book for you to pour in your glass. Hehe.

This is a refreshing cocktail -My mind is stupid and forgetful in remembering drinks, I'm terribly sorry. The blend of the orange and cucumber really emphasis on the refreshing taste.

Amazing view from our table.

And of course, all this is only possible because of this boy right here. Thank you :)

The one week

As I mentioned in my earlier post, Kelvin and I went to a gateway at Langkawi. Where do I even begin with this trip... The view was breathtaking, the food was delicious and most importantly it was with someone whom is irreplaceable. We stayed at Tanjung Rhu and I recommend people to visit it once!

And after our 3 day 2 night stay, we flew off to Jakarta for 4 days 3 nights. It was amazing seeing his family and visiting Jakarta for the first time. I honestly thought Jakarta would not be so modernized but I was clearly wrong. The food was wonderful and we had our personal driver (Melvin) and planner (Maya) thank you <3

Our last pic together. It was truly an amazing meet up. Hehe
