Working on a weekend

So today I was dragged by force to work on a Saturday!!! The horror! Just kidding, I wasn't dragged but I had to work today. It was for career fair at Mid Valley Exhibition Center and I saw Joshua and Shan there. I have never smiled so much since I last saw my boyfriend physically since I have to talked to new recruits.

I thought this quote was pretty cool 'There is something luxurious about a woman lighting a man's cigar'

Black Market

So sister brought me to this super dodgy place known as Black Market in Kuala Lumpur. Even though the name itself is ambiguous it was actually a very decent and pleasant place for a delicious dinner.

Being the small bird-like eaters we are, we ordered starters, one salad and one main for our dinner.

Garlic Butter Scallops. They were really generous with the amount of scallops provided. The taste was a bit on the garlic side for me. Overall still very amaze with the portion.

Pork strips salad. The dish was overall amazing. 10/10 dressing combination and the sunny side up egg with vast variety of veggie provided.

The big S Pork Ribs. You know the saying 'A perfectly cooked rib is where the meat completely falls of its bone' This was the perfectly cooked ribs indeed. Dip in their scrumptious black sauce, you'll be wanting more after you have finished this.

Choong Foong Seafood Restaurant

Today, sis, her boyfie and I went to have a delicious chinese food at Choong Foond Seafood Restaurant. It wasn't anything special but I enjoyed it. Especially since I'm the younger one in the family, so I didn't have to pay anything. Thanks you two! <3

Our dishes were:

Pork Ribs. The sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste.

Spinach cooked with garlic. I must say they were really generous with their leaves. Usually restaurants would give more stalk.

Fei Chau fish, half fried and half steamed. I thought it was a bit too salty for me.

Last week I had to attend a Finance Seminar. The title was Finance Essentials for Non Finance Professionals. It was interesting to learn the new concepts and refreshed my dry memory of accountant again.

Of Dinner and Drinking Session

Today dad took the two lovely daughters to dinner at Louisanna at Kelana Jaya. We ordered seafood plater, fried rice and chicken cutlet.

Seafood plater: Although most of the seafood was not fresh, but it was warm in temperature at least.

The amazing delicious and mouth drooling fried rice. Mixed with chicken breast, mushrooms, pineapple, greens and red chili. The combination was just perfect and I have to say their must try when you're there.

Chicken cutlet with cranberry sauce. Honestly to me felt similar to Ikea Meat balls except the meat ball was replace with a chicken. Sauce wise it tasted exactly like gravy and cranberry sauce. Chicken breast was dry hence lots of sauce needed to be added to cover up the dryness.

Sis and I then went for a drink at Hyde, Damansara Uptown. I ordered a Hitachi white pale beer and a Chrysanthemum Tea cocktail.

Chrysanthemum Tea cocktail. I had mix feelings with this drink, although the Dewars was strong and made me flinch with each sip, the Chrysanthemum soothe my throat with its touch.

Make up for the night. Blogger signing off.

Dedicated To Thee

*Warning Cheesy post up ahead*

So from 20th march until 29th march, a special guy came down to Malaysia to surprise me. Even though his plan was slightly spoiled (Because the genius girlfriend figured it out), I was still very much over the moon in seeing him. Despite our cantankerous moments, it was as though I fell in love with this idiot all over again. He's always giving me abounding love day after day <3 I'll just be writing the highlights of the days.

We had tea with mom on the second day of this arrival. Tea was just dull and boring but the company makes it so much better <3

One of the nights, we had chinese food at Oriental Pavillion. Our order consists of:

Tofu with spinach and mushroom (One of my favourite Chinese dish)

Deer/Lamb meat. They marinated it well and I need to give my thunderous applause to the chef.

Pecking duck. I thought there were quite generous with the duck.

Did you all know that Malaysia sells Apple Strudel that taste exactly like Perth? It's really delicious.

Of course what's a chef without getting his hands busy with the knife. This little boy cooked two amazing dinner (One Western and one Asian) and one lunch.

Our lunch for one of the days was his appetizing Sambal Chicken. (He also baked the yummy yummy scones ^_^)

The Chef's satisfactory face

Le Western dish. I had beef with mash potatoes and garden salad. His mash potatoes are down to the earth the best ever! So is his mushroom sauce and the juicy medium rare steak!!! Mix it all together and you get a burst of flavour flowing in your mouth.

So thank you so much darling for being by my side those couple of days. Days are surely not the same without you around anymore... I do miss our coffee sessions where we would have DMC and our gaming nights where you would always patiently calm me down after every game. I will miss you being here physically and hugging me tightly to sleep every night. The day you left was the most painful and devastating moment I have ever felt. I felt that half of my heart was taken away. However, I'm looking forward to you bringing the other half back again ^_^

The boy who always makes me smile.
