Pak Loh Chui Chow

Today's dinner was at Pak Loh in Starhill Hotel, KL. It was a Teo Chui cooking. Although it was different I didn't quite enjoy it as much as I do with normal chinese food.

Mom was the big boss of the night and she ordered...

Beef with bitter gourd. Me being not a fan of bitter food really didn't like the taste at all. Thankfully not all of the beef was covered with bitter taste.

Pork and Goat meat with pig's ear mixed with tofu. I thought this dish was unique but you couldn't really taste the difference between the goat and pork.

Spinach soup dish. Their soup was a half cook egg base. I thought it was unique but again it was lacking in flavor. There was nothing eventful of this dish.

Yam rice. This dish was blend in general. They were pretty stingy with their yam despite the dish being yam rice. I was quite disappointed with it.

Overall I would rate it 6/10. Probably because the cooking style was different and hence that was the reason why I didn't enjoy it as much as I should. They did give condiment dishes though which was good. Service was lacking in attention in the beginning when we wanted to order but it became better towards the night of the course.

Complimentary tea.

I've been thinking of streaming since I find it a delight to game and talk to people at the same time. However, I'm so clueless with softwares I can't quite figure out how to function it properly. Stay tune for that news ladies and gents :3

But... would you want to stare at this face? XD
*Signing off.

An Update! :O

Hey fellow readers! This week has been a rather uneventful and boring but nonetheless fast pace week. As a management trainee they really don't give you any jobs at all :\ Hopefully the new department which they put me under will be better.

On Monday (16/3) I participated in a toastmasters event which is about public speaking. I took part in the table topic section where I was given a topic on the day itself and had to speak in an impromptu manner. Unfortunately I didn't manage to get top 3 out of 6 but it was a very good experience for me and I would definitely try it out again!

Last Saturday I treated my family for dinner as well because I had my first pay check. We went to Eight Gourmets Gala (EGG) restaurant at Sunway. Their oysters are the tastiest I have ever eaten since I left Melbourne :'( But... it's pricey. Overall I thought it was just an ordinary place anyway.

The make up for that night. Nothing but smokey eyes trying to look fierce but failed tremendously.

Lastly, I'm missing this idiot so much. Boys and Girls, I'm here to tell you that long distance relationship isn't difficult if you're going through it with the right person. I can tell you now that long distance is the best method to test how powerful you're relationship and how much you two care and love for one another. I had doubts on obviously because of my previous one but as of now, this amazing guy is giving me the strength and love again. I'm grateful to have you baby <3

Love you so much!

Life Experience

I Would like to quote one of an inspiring sentence that my HR said to me yesterday during my work.

He said:

'Life experience is similar to a lotus flower, you cannot expect the lotus to blossom at once. You need to slowly let the leaves open up and let the flower blossom to its full beauty'

And I 100% agree with his statement because life experience can only be gained by slow and steady pace. You can't expect to jump straight into the fire without knowing how to overcome it. Only time is the limit now but with time we can gain immense experience along the way.

My Sister once mentioned to me as well:

'Life is like a swing, the more we swing the higher we reach. However there are times where strong wind would blow us down but that does not stop us from trying to reach the sky again'.

No one said LDR would be easy but you can say that we both are going through it pretty well. The first month was the hardest no doubt but we went through it. As another beautiful quote mentions 'I rather go through fights with you than make love with another person'. so... Love and miss you so much silly boy <3

Busy as a bee

Work has taken its toll I guess. With only two days of me-self time I find it difficult to actually have an actual time to do my own stuff. Today was finally one of those weeks where I can nonchalantly sit down and update my blog. Also, since I won't bore you all to death with my work life.

Anyone played metal slug before? It's such an oldie but a goodie! Available on steam, I remembered I bought it for $3.00 which came with the privilege of sending to a friend to play and who better to play it with then the boyfie!

The boy actually surprised me on Valentine's day by ordering a bouquet of flowers when he was all the way in Australia!!! So much love from him <3  I would like to quote one of the sentence that he wrote which was 'you know you mean a lot when this special someone won't let you miss out on Valentines just because he is gazillion miles away'. Yes indeed I know I have the special guy in my life right now and I'm not letting him go so easily!

You're mine! :D

One of the great things about work is being able to participate in Toastmasters' club. In case you do not know, toastmasters is a club whereby you practice speaking publicly and you are evaluated from it. It's pretty handy in my opinion because I find that the world has so many opportunist leaders but how can they lead if they are unable to speak with confidence and appropriately in public?

Managed to actually win Table Topic Section on my first try. Got a cute tiny badge as a reward.
