Redang Trip

Let me just start by saying this trip was a good trip for a short getaway. For a 3 day 2 night trip it was full of sleeping, eating and pretty much just lazing about.

My face before Breakfast. I had to wake up at 4am to catch the 6.30am flight.

Now this is the face after breakfast was served haha.

The amazing View of the beach.

One of the nights, we had dinner at a restaurant called the brasserie in The Taaras Resort. The food there was delicious. Thought service was lacking a little.

Pan smeared scallops for starters

Grilled Tiger Prawns for mains

Chocolate Foundant & Panna Cotta for dessert

Teaching mom how to do a beesh face. She failed miserably.

Hi there. Just showing off my hard work to you, Kelvin Wong! :D

Overall, the resort was wonderful but I wouldn't rate it a 5 star hotel. The service was lacking a little. One scenario that my mom and I encountered was flies above a cake which was left uncovered during our dinner buffet. My mom informed the waitress but all she did was shooed the flies away and left the cake there. I gagged at anyone who take the cake and ate it... Also when we were checking out, the manager started yelling at the staff whom was attending us. However I felt that the staff handled it quite well but asking the manager to hold on. I really felt that working there would have been stressful.

Till then! On a side note, new job starts tomorrow!!!

In Memory

Hey readers, I am back and blogging about life again. Today I manage to have time to bake a triple choc brownie from Tasty Website. It turned out not too bad actually so I'm quite happy with it. my brownies were slightly more wet because I speculate that it was due to the chocolate chips melted in such an excruciating temperature.

Over the weekends, Phoenix Toastmaster Club founder, Albert Chua passed away peaceful. It was a devastating day to hear such a news. One memory that I remembered from him is he giving me advice on my Vice President Educational role in Phoenix as well as tips on Toastmasters Contest. We will miss him so dearly.

We will miss you dearly Albert!
