JEQ cafe

I went for brunch with mom and sis at JEQ cafe at Seksyen 17. At first when you enter the cafe, the ambiance gives a warm cozy feeling. We didn't have to wait long for our seats. The only downside was the waiting time. It was a situation where the food was presented earlier than the drinks.

Creamy Champignons Spaghetti - Basically a creamy pasta with well cooked ham. It was a tasty pasta but the cream was a bit too much for me.

Grilled Chicken Sandwich. They were quite stingy with the ingredients inside. The chicken was not much. Fries were frozen fries which was rather tasteless.

Mocha - It was one of the best mocha I had, but honestly. Waiting 20 minutes for a coffee is definitely a BIG no no.

Soup Restaurant

The ambiance of this place was a chinese japenese restaurant feel. It was your typical chinese garden with bamboo sticks and wooden chairs and tables.

Pork ribs soups & Spicy homemade tofu with minced pork. Both dish was delicious and tasty. It didn't feel as though they had put any ajinomoto in it. The tofu was also cooked to perfection and their spicy sauce was not as spicy as I thought it would be.

Broccoli with mushrooms and soy bean. It is a classic dish and they cooked it tremendously well. The sauce didn't drown the taste of the broccoli nor the mushroom. I enjoyed it immensely.

Naughty Nuri

On the 18/9/2015, I went together with mom and dad to have Pork ribs at Naught Nuri. It's located at Hartamas and oh boy... you better be early or you'll be pulling your hair off trying to find a parking spot. Don't be surprise if you find cars parked along the main road as it is a norm at that area.

Interior of Naughty Nuri

Nasi Goreng: It was a rather expensive dish with only a few slices of pork given. The rice was somewhat blend and tasteless.

They recommended this satay dish. But we all agreed it was rather on the spicy side and so we couldn't taste the meat as much as we hoped to.

Signature pork ribs. This dish was the savior of the night. Honestly, if you go naughty nuri's just order their pork ribs. They cooked the meat very well and tendered and the sauce to me was just right. Though my parents thought it was a bit on the sweet side and hence they drizzled lemon on the meat. I wouldn't say it's the best but it is worth trying. The price for the amount of ribs they give was acceptable as well.

Past few days I've been a bit busy with toastmasters with their area contest. However, it is a good experience meeting new people and witnessing the speeches from the champion of various clubs.

Malaysia Day

Wishing every Malaysian a wonderful Malaysia Day! Let's not let any rally tear us apart and be wiser than they are. Doesn't matter what race you are, you are a Malaysian and that's all that matters. Stay safe and avoid KL area for the next few days people!

Poor Macdonald, he's confuse on his team. It's okie, I will still support you <3

All schools have been declared closed on Tuesday due to the horrible, unbearable, abominable haze. Reminds me of my childhood days where i would be so excited when school closes. However, since leveling up from the whole student life to a working life, I don't get that option anymore. I still had work to attend and worst still was to walk to site everyday wearing a mask.

Taken from Level 12 of my office building.

Last Saturday, I went over to hills and celebrated her birthday. It was amazing eating home cooked food prepared by her loving maid. You're finally a year older Hill :P

On Monday (14/9), Phoenix Toastmasters Club had their Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contest. I had the privileged to be victimized into participating both contest and surprisingly emerged as 2nd place for both speech and evaluation contest. It was truly a jubilant and euphoria moment for me, thank you to my mentors for guiding me in my speech and giving me constant feedback and support.

Inside Scope:

Sis brought me together with her boyfriend to inside scope because I was craving for waffles. And damn... this hidden gem was truly incredible. When you walk in you will be amazed by their creativity in setting up their cafe. They had swings as chairs where you can actually sit on. When you enter you will be greeted by the heavenly smell for them freshly baked waffles.

We had to order at the counter and I choose the V.chocolate and vanilla bean for the waffle. Chocolate flavor was rich and dark and the vanilla ice-cream was not too milky which I enjoyed immensely. Next the waffle was to die for. It was crunchy and every bite left me wanting more.

Well done Inside Scope! I will definitely be back for more!

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

Enorme Review + Koh Samui

Hey Strangers! I apologize for my absences these past few weeks. Work has been incredible tiring and it leaves me enervated every day. With our project - Uptown Residences- newly completed, we had to rush to handover the units to owners, so you can expect abounding amount of documentation work and constant visitation to the site. We also have a few complains here and there. I was fortunate  enough to be one of the few victims to received such a complain from one of our value customers.

Let me share with you all a little secret, in working world, be prepare to face all kind of people regardless if they are horrible or down to heart the best. The world is filled with different people or various background and you can't expect all of them to be good all the time.

Take in the negative as well as the positive because you will learn and progress in life.

Enorme Review:

As one of my bro, Joshua and Shan were leaving Malaysia, we decided to have a catch up over dinner. Joshua decided on Enorme inside PJ Centerstage.

Fruit Salad: This dish was flavorful. To be honest, I thought the they would be stingy with the fruits but they proved me wrong. They were super generous with their mango, strawberry and olives.

Hawaiian Pizza: Hmmm, I love thin crust. This pizza was delicious and I do adore my thin crust truly. I thought they could add more pineapple though. But it was still delicious.
*This is a medium size pizza*

Deconstructed tiramisu: To be honest, I felt perplexed towards this dish. To be served with cream and drizzles of bread crumbs was a bit odd to me. I was hoping to have a least a piece of cake in front of my eyes or at least something a bit more unique. It was a little let down.

Never the less, great job Enorme. I would return again for your pizza P:

Koh Samui:

Firs off, thank you OCBC for the opportunity to Koh Samui. I spent a lovely 3 days 2 nights with mom at Anatara Lawana and it was a great de-stress trip as well.

Day 1: was mostly relaxation in the resort and pampering ourselves with spa. We toured fisherman's village for a short while. We ended the night with dinner at Dr. Frogs (recommended by the receptionist), don't ever take their advice! I'm sure they got commission from it as the place was a let down.

Day 2: We spent half the day at Koh Samui's national park with elephant traking, visiting some obscene rocks, watching monkey, crocodile, elephant show, observing thai cooking class, relaxing at their 800m waterfall side. The other half we went to Chaweng street and to our delight, had a better thai food as compared to the first night. (Picture as below)

Day 3: We had buffet breakfast at the resort. Relaxed our ass off in the room before we could checked our and head home.

I thought this was rather funny, it starts with:
Dear Ms. Sim & Mr. Wen

Dr. Frog's restaurant. Despite the let down of their food, I must say their view is astonishing.

Elephant Trekking. I got the privilege to control the elephant for a while. Hehe.

So they call this Hin Yai (Grandmother) Rock. It represents the female genitals. I guess it somewhat does.

We had the privilege of bathing a baby elephant.

Watching the elephant sit.

Monkey demonstrating its skills to collect coconut efficiently.

My first crocodile show, it left me in suspends.

Cooking show, Thai food is delicious!

Papaya Salad.

Red Curry Chicken

Mango Pulut!

Eventhough Koh Samui is a bit commercialize, I still enjoyed my stay as I'm a beach person -No Pun Intended.
