Drip Drip Drop

Rain starts pouring out the window. Memories of the good times spent slowly became blurry. The images grew smaller and smaller in her mind. She thought of wonderful events which have occurred but they were so tiny and small. The devastation and gloomy thoughts over took her and tears flowed down her cheeks.

She rubs them away unable to bear the thought of such negativity.

*Drip Drip Drop*

The sound of the rain slowly beating on the surface, insecurities, jealousies, frustrations. All negative emotions which she couldn't handle. Sometimes it's not you, it's the past that haunts us. Some people can't let go, but we need to see someone as a whole new person.

Life is precious, capture every moment. As my CEO once said,

Learn to:

be Attentive
give Affection
Appreciate.

Devastating Event

house robbery from the sims 2
http://www.freakygaming.com/gallery/simulations/the_sims_2/house_robbery

It was a day filled with turmoil. My neighbor had their house broken into a couple of days ago. We suspect it was an inside job because the alarm was not triggered.

Ladies and Gentlemen, please do bare in mind that robberies and incidences are bound to happen even when you least expect it. Do take care of yourself as well as your personal belongings.

Of outings and relaxation

Today was a very boisterous day indeed. During lunch, mom and I went to Plan B for lunch and we had quite a scrumptious meal. She ordered Royal eggs and I ordered Mushroom Bruschetta.

I thought the dish was lacking a little in presentation. Though the poach eggs were cooked to perfection with the combination of its delicious salmon and sauce given. Yum Yum.

Mushroom Bruschetta. I really give credit to them for filling the dish was fardle amount of veggie! Yummy! Plus the mushrooms were succulent and juicy. This was one of the best mushroom bruschetta.

A little humor on the menu. Hehe.

At night, I went out with my two favorite sons, Wai Meng and Joshua, and of course their lovely girlfriends, Xia Xin and Shan. Being their birthday last month June, I decided to treat them for dinner at Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf.

Onion rings for dinner, yummy yum yum. P: Though it was a little oily in my opinion.

The Mitty Piggy Burger. Oh my god... this dish, where do I even begin? This burger was indeed delicious. The pork was juicy and tender, and they weren't stingy with their egg, tomato, salad and sauce. The fries were crispy and thin (Just the way I like it).

Also, the lovely people decided to surprise me with a cake! Ahaha what a turn around! It was suppose to be my treat and they ended up treating me as well. <3

After dinner, we decided to head to a little bar (Beside the Social) for a couple -2 pints to be exact- of beers. We had fun with ping ping piang game and a renovation version of 7 up. It was indeed a wonderful and enjoyable night.

The wonderful, lovely, humorous, exuberant people. I'm so awesome, I've upgraded into a bicycle instead of a third wheel by being the light bulb of not one, but two pairs of lovely couple. MUAHAHA. Oh... it's really times like this where I really do miss my boyfriend.... -.-

Also, thank you Shan, Joshua and Wai Meng for the lovely gift <3 I honestly didn't expect it.

Good night and have a lovely day :)

First term as VPE

Being a Vice President Education (VPE) for a club is no laughing matter. I thought that being an activities officer back in University of Melbourne was an excruciating journey but, oh boy, this is challenging indeed.

Phoenix Toastmasters Club just had our 152th Meeting on 13th July. I apologize for my tardiness in updating my blog. I wanted to obtain more images from my member before I posted but I'm pretty sure work caught up to her hence I couldn't obtain any further images.

Our meeting theme was 'A Celebration of Success' due to the handover of the past committee to the incoming ones. Also it was a Raya theme in conjunction with the wonderful Hari Raya Holiday occurring this week. To my dismay, the meeting started 10 minutes late hence it ended later than usual.

A typical toastmasters club (TMC) consists of three parts, table topic session, assign speech session and evaluation session.

Table Topic - I used to be terrified with this because it is an impromptu session where courageous victims speakers are required to think on their feet. Over a few practice, the simplest method is
1) Do you agree with the question? Is the question humanly possible?
2) Give personal examples or make up stories.

Assign Speech - I had my fair share of speeches and I love this session the most because it gives me time to prep my speech and set the mood of my audience.

Evaluation - My past President, Ahmad Hafidz used to say 'Evaluation is the breakfast for champions' and I agree with him. You can never improve unless you receive constant feedback from others. Take it seriously and not personally as my colleague would say.

The wonderful, admirable, extravagant, exhilarating members and guests at 152th Phoenix Toastmasters Club.

So what does a VPE do? Well, I had to carefully organize the roles and speech speakers to ensure our members are on track with their learning curve and assists them in any way I can. It's not an easy task assigning roles as TMC is a voluntary club. Anyone could pull out any minute so I have to constantly receive updates from participants.

Besides that, I am also involve in planning the agenda for the day making sure all relevant parties' information are accurate and precise.

It may sound easy -which was what I thought at first- but it isn't. It eats up plethora of time and can be a very tedious and tiring process. But hey, I ain't complaining. You may ask, what do I gain from doing all these free labor work? Well, the joy and euphoria feeling of helping one improve his/her public speaking skills as well as instilling unforgettable memories is what pulls me through.

Charles Dickens says 'No one is useless in this world who lightens the burden of others'

I believe in giving and helping rather than receiving.

Plus, I get to go 'clubbing' with my fellow members :P

Also, my colleague generously bought roti canai for us in the office for breakfast. We decided to have a wonderful feast in the office!

Lovely, enthusiastic and fun bunch <3

A spontaneous trip

Today, my friend Ryan decided to take a not so safe drive to Genting and have breakfast. He's a relatively safe driver, don't worry. We met our friend Ben (BuBU) there as well and had breakfast together. Bubu, I hope that put a smile on your working Sunday :)

Spotted a few sports car up there. Don't ask me what it is, I'm very terrible with car types.

Thanks for the trip, Ryan.

On a very lovely and sunny Saturday. Phoenix Toastmasters EXCOs' went for a COT (Club Officers Training) at Sunway University. It was a very well organized and informative session. I've met a fardle of different Vice President Education (VPEs) from other Toastmasters club and there were very friendly people indeed.

Such a lucky, surrounded by girls...

Also on Saturday was one of my friend, Sai Kiat's Birthday. I haven't seen this guy in such a livelong time.... He finally graduated and came back to Malaysia.

Happy Birthday :)

Movie Date with Mr.Wong!

This week we watched two instead of one movie because we decided being mind blown once was not enough.

Image obtained from: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/predestination/

The first movie we watched was the predestination. This movie was very mind blowing honestly... At first it made sense, then it made no sense, and it went on to not making any sense at all, and after that it was just a kind of WTF did I just watch moment. Okie so to sum up the story, it was a story about how a young man is trying to diffuse a bomb set up by this man called the fizzle bomber.

Next on was a movie called Ex Machina. This movie was actually quite interesting. I got quite a bit mind blown towards the end of the movie and throughout it keeps you guessing on what is about to happen. The movie is basically about two genius technicians testing on an Artificial Intelligence (AI) to see if she passes or fails a test. I recommend watching this movie to anyone who requires a bit of mind blowing moment.

Day 365

Image obtained from http://www.buzzquotes.com/mulan-quotes

Even though he doesn't say it, but he shows me in his own ways. So how did Kelvin Wong even got the attention of Ee Wen Yin (Chelsea) anyway?

It all started with our mutual friend who goes by the name of Nanisha. She had talked about me to Kelvin and had talked to me about him before as well. We never really met each other or even bothered because circumstances were not in our favour.

However, one fine night, Kelvin Wong mustered up an abounding amount of courage and decided to add me on facebook -after he added me on instagram of course. I accepted him because I indirectly knew him through my friend and back then I thought 'what's the worst that could happen?'

We met a couple of times, the first having drinks at a bar. We talked incessantly until the night was dark and full of terrors (Nothing good ever happens after 3am). We continued seeing each other until he took me to a fine dining restaurant one day - Taxi Kitchen. I thought then that this was too much. I didn't fancy it when guys shower me with gifts and expensive places. I told him off and he reluctantly stopped.

We, however, still continued our slow progression of befriending one another. I never liked him at all until after roughly a month of getting to know him. He was indeed persistent in wanting me. The one aspect of him that caught me was HE WORE GLASSES! Haha, I'm kidding. He was independent, sociable, funny and someone whom I felt really comfortable talking and doing random shits to.

I slowly developed feelings for him but I didn't want to drop him any hints. I waited for him to make his move as I had already knew he had strong feelings for me. So one night, he passionately confessed to me and that's how we ended up dating.

It has indeed been a bumpy ride. I would be lying to myself and everyone if I said we didn't have arguments and it was a smooth journey. This relationship definitely had its precipitous moments. But I would rather fight with this guy over and over again than fall in love with someone else. Long Distance is definitely not easy but with a bit of faith, trust and pixie dust, you can certainly overcome any obstacles.

He is my....

raving partner

dance/drinking partner

The apple of my eye

My support and encouragement

and if any of you girls try to steal him away/try anything that you shouldn't, I will f******* bitch slap you all the way to the moon and never return ever! :)

Morning Wood Cafe

According to http://www.urbandictionary.com

Morning Wood is 'A morning erection that is naturally caused as the brains enters the REM-deep sleep phase'.

Well... thankfully I wont be talking about Morning Wood today but rather the  cafe at SS 15, Subang Jaya.

The cafe at first looked to be quite dodgy as it was located on the first floor of a shop lot.

We were welcomed with a Morning Wood sign and a picture of a deer. Hmm, didn't really see the resemblance but it was sure an interesting artwork.

Walking a few more steps you'll be greeted with a motivational wall. I wonder if they constantly change the quotes each day/week?

We weren't welcome at all when my mom and I first stepped into the cafe. So we thought we would just sit down at a table. Until they didn't serve us a menu then only did it occur to us that we had to order at the counter. So I scrutinized the menu on the counter as well of those located on the board. I decided to order a breakfast in bed 'Miss the ones baby used to do back in Melbourne' and a Mocha. While mom ordered the Morning Wood sandwich and a mocha as well.

The mocha (RM 12) was delicious! The abounding amount of cocoa and coffee was just right for my taste.

Breakfast in Bed (RM 24). I took a look at the plane and felt that it was worth the outrageous money I paid for. They were surely not stingy with their ingredients and I have to admit, for a Malaysia brunch place, it was truly delicious. One down side to this dish was that the salad was a bit old.

Morning Wood Sandwich (RM 23). Mom truly enjoyed this dish and nearly ate the whole dish until it was clean as a whistle. Mind you, she eats like a bird. I agreed with her though, this dish was truly amazing. Every bite left me wanting more and more of the perfectly cooked tender chicken.

Overall, though it was an exorbitant price, I wouldn't mind visiting this shaky cafe again. Their menu is filled with a fardel of different food to be tried from.

On a side note... Another three more weeks till I see this handsome guy again! ^_^
