Today, the Yin family decided to pay a little visit at Bangsar South. We choose Nexo as our dinner location. The road to reach Bangsar South was horrendous but the food made up for it.
Nexo Review:
We ordered 5 dishes + 1 dessert and a bottle of red wine in total for 4 people.
Part of the bar in Nexo
Iberico Jowl. To me it was pork tenderloin. The taste and meat was amazing. The meat was chewy but in a good way. Accompanied by the balsamic sauce.
Viera. Despite my oh so horrible Seafood experience in Spain, I adored this dish very much. The scallops were fresh accompanied by its delicious romesco sauce.
Cochinilla. Suckling Pig with served with salad and mashed potato. The pig was cooked differently by it being soft and juicy -Similar to a pork stew- but with its crispy skin was too amazing to be missed!
Gambas Aglio Retroceso. Well from the picture, gambas means prawn and aglio is a type of pasta style. This dish was yet again -as my sis love to say- AMAZEBALLZ. The prawns were big and fresh while the pasta was cooked just nice with its aglio style.
Iberico Costillas (Iberico Ribs). We had to wait patiently for 45 minutes for this dish to finally appear on our table. However, the wait was worth it. The meat was so juicy and it blends it amazingly with the apple sauce. I had to clean the bones and made sure there were no meat left. No words can describe this dish. Honestly one of the best ribs I have ever eaten so far.
Though the food was amazing, we were charged with an exorbitant price. Service was friendly and efficient. I would recommend anyone who is a meat lover to try this place at least once. It is amazing and you won't regret it.

Today I watched he Hurt Locker with Mr.Kelvin Wong. It was -how should i describe this- interesting in its own way. However, I didn't get any meaning behind the story. It just left me feeling hanging and sort of a 'Was that it?' emotion. If anyone can give me an analysis for this movie do let me know.
I'm lost with a few questions:
Why did the man run down the stairs while Will was detonating the bombs?
Why did Will become so emotional when the kid -whom looked like Beckham died?
What was the meaning behind the merchant sending Will to the wrong house?
Why did Will ignore the boy -whom looked like Beckham- when the latter asked him to play football towards the end?
Too many questions bundled and jumbled up in my tiny head.
Ending the night with my perfect wine and an exuberant smile.
Oh, but before I go off. I would like to share with you all a short story.
The two pebbles (Obtained from http://www.rogerdarlington.me.uk/stories.html#Story66)
Many years ago in a small Italian town, a merchant had the misfortune of owing a large sum of money to the moneylender. The moneylender, who was old and ugly, fancied the merchant's beautiful daughter, so he proposed a bargain. He said he would forgo the merchant's debt if he could marry the daughter. Both the merchant and his daughter were horrified by the proposal.
The moneylender told them that he would put a black pebble and a white pebble into an empty bag. The girl would then have to pick one pebble from the bag. If she picked the black pebble, she would become the moneylender's wife and her father's debt would be forgiven. If she picked the white pebble, she need not marry him and her father's debt would still be forgiven. But, if she refused to pick a pebble, her father would be thrown into jail.
They were standing on a pebble-strewn path in the merchant's garden. As they talked, the moneylender bent over to pick up two pebbles. As he picked them up, the sharp-eyed girl noticed that he had picked up two black pebbles and put them into the bag. He then asked the girl to pick her pebble from the bag.
The girl put her hand into the bag and drew out a pebble. Without looking at it, she fumbled and let it fall onto the pebble-strewn path where it immediately became lost among all the other pebbles. "Oh, how clumsy of me," she said. "But never mind, if you look into the bag for the one that is left, you will be able to tell which pebble I picked."
Sometimes it is necessary to think out of the box or, in this case, out of the bag.
I thought it was a very interesting story because sometimes, the solutions to our problems are just in front of us. We just need to take a step back and look at it more evidently.
