Hello Strangers

It sure has been ages since I last updated my blog. I've been pretty busy with work mostly but that is no excuse I know. So let me move on with this post.

Today, the yin family together with Tian Hui (AKA outsider) went for dinner at Overseas, Jalan Imbi, Kuala Lumpur. In my opinion, today's service was rather slow and the food was just ordinary. I preferred Oriental at Jaya 33.

Char Siew and Siu Yok. The char siew to me was a bit too thick and the siu yok skin was not crispy enough.

Garoupa fish was really fresh. This was my favourite dish the entire dinner because of the way they cook it and how fresh it was.

Claypot chicken. I thought the sauce was a bit plain. I didn't taste much and honestly as I'm sitting here scratching my head on what to describe about this dish, I can't think of anything out of ordinary.

Lobster noodles. The noodles were quite nice mixed together with its fresh seafood sauce. However the downside was the lobster was just a bit overcooked.

In the afternoon, mom and I went to Paradigm mall to run some errands. We stopped by Sushi Zanmai and oh my, the temaki was really delicious.

Muahaha, threaded my eyebrows. I shall make heads turn (Just kidding).

Over the weekend I spent some quality time with le boyfriend and watched The prestige. The show was really amazing and it left me mind-blown. The feeling you get when you just can't stop talking about the movie after it ends. Well done Christopher Nolan! I definitely give it a 10/10 hands down. For those who love Inception, you definitely need to watch The Prestige.

The story is about a rivalry of two magicians trying to out-perform the other. However, there are twist and turns along the way. You can see the great length of sacrifices these two made to achieve their ambition.

Lastly, I previously mentioned that I prepared a speech at Phoenix Toastmaster's Club entitled 'Be Yourself'. Well you may watch the link below!

Public Speaking is FUN

Today I attended the fortnightly Phoenix Toastmaster Club Meeting (187th). Phoenix Toastmasters Club is design to help people with their public speaking and impromptu speeches. I was one of the chosen speakers for today, with only one day to practice -since my Spain trip- I thought to myself 'Fk this! I'm going to give it my best and that's it'

My Speech title was 'Be Yourself'. I started the speech with a good evening to the crowd and a question 'What Characteristics do you look for in your partner/friend?' I got some feedback form the audience.

On the board it's written 'Fastidious. Friendly. Fun. Fantastic. Beautiful' Chey sounds like me, I Kid! I went to explain the similarities of these characteristics, which are they are all positive.

I went to explain why it is so important to be yourself and ended the speech with a quote 'To be yourself in a world that is constantly making you something else is a great accomplishment' Ralp Waldo Emerson.

To my astonishment, I managed to win best speaker for the night. Being as a youngster among the seniors was quite a jubilant feeling for me.

In addition, I also got nominated for Vice President Education (VPE) for Phoenix Toastmaster Club term 2015-2016.

Thank you my lovely team for the great support and always believing in me!

Also thank you to this guy for always continuously giving me such incredible support in whatever I do in life <3

Of Spain and more

Approximately one week and three days ago, I went on a family trip to Spain since there was holiday for Labour Day and Wesak Day. Overall, the trip was wonderful -aside from recovering food poisoning for a whole day- and enjoyable. I must say that Spain is a trip for architect lovers due to the vast variety of architectural cathedrals, basilicas, castles and huge parks.

Sagrada Familia.  Can you believe that this building has been in progress since 1882!? I shall return in 11 years time to witness its completion!

Sagrada Familia Actual Future Top 10 Interesting Facts of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona
According to 'http://www.world-insider.com/top-10-interesting-facts-of-the-sagrada-familia-in-barcelona/' the finalize building is shown as above.

Amazing lighting. The lighting was from natural sun shining on the painted windows.
Also one of Spain tradition is Bull Fighting. I did not however enjoy it much. To witness a bull slowly dying in three stages was horrible and crushed my heart entirely.

 The Olympic Stadium in Barcelona.

Also, today is mother's day and I need to dedicate a small post to this amazing woman in my life whom has love me unconditionally despite my flaws.

Thank you Mom!

Lastly, to an annoying guy whom manage to piss me off at times even though i missed him

dearly throughout my trip in Spain and even until this day.

Thank you for all the loving and understanding you have given me. I truly
 cannot imagine life

without you derping around with me.
